Comments for Pages 14 and 15:

These pages come together in a pair of linked four-panel layouts, with the giant V formed by the large panels in the center. Note that Veidt and the assassin combine with the "V" to make an "X"; The center spread is designed to make quite an impact, an effect it certainly achieves.

Veidt is at the center of this spread, as he is at the center of this issue and the center of the plot. Veidt's name occurs at least once on each page. If Veidt is at the center, and the center is a little off-kilter, what does that tell us about Adrian's mental state -- or about Watchmen as a whole? Does everything add up or balance in the end?
