Nancy Kaplan is the director of the School of Information Arts and Technologies, teaches courses in information architecture, interaction design, and digital culture. Her research focuses on digital literacy. She loves to make things with computers and to help other people use computers in fun and interesting ways.

Stuart Moulthrop is a professor in the School of Information Arts and Technologies and director of the Doctoral Program in Communications Design. He is widely known as an electronic writer and interactive designer and recently served as Program Co-Chair of the 2002 ACM Conference on Hypertext and Hypermedia. When he isn't working on UB's new degree in Simulation and Digital Entertainment, he likes to build computer models of people, places, and things.

Kathryn Summersteaches user research and usability testing at the University of Baltimore. Her co-authored textbook, Creating Effective Web Sites, is forthcoming from Houghton Mifflin in 2003. Her professional user research and usability testing projects include Reuters.com, TreasuryDirect.gov, Gloss.com, and online literacy research for Pfizer.

Kathryn grew up with 10 brothers and sisters, and her favorite activity is reading. She can read anywhere, no matter what is going on. Her favorite use of the computer is e-mail, to stay in touch with her family, and the calendar, so she can remember what she's supposed to do every day.

Yoram Chisik is a doctoral candidate at the School of Information Arts and Technologies. His current research explores ways in which books can be turned from cultural artefacts into hubs of social activity. Yoram also teaches courses in game design and computer programming in the Simulation and Digital Entertainment program at UB. Yoram’s previous academic and work background is geography and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and when not busy with his research he enjoys exploring the web for news stories from around the world and exploring new technologies.

Steve Guynup One of the most controversial developers of virtual space, Steve's works confront ideas and issues that represent the bleeding edge of three dimensional design. A seven year veteran in Web3D, he has presented at SIGGRAPH in 1998,1999, 2000, 2003 and 2004, won awards from Blaxxun and the Contact Consortium, and recently worked with 1996 Ars Electronica winner Andy Best on his Iceborg Project. In 2002, he received a Master's Degree in Information, Design & Technology from Georgia Tech. Currently he is pursing a Doctorate in Design and Communication at the University of Baltimore.

Rahul Kulkarni is a Graphic designer and has completed his Masters of Fine Arts degree from Savannah College of Art and Design. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Communication Design at University of Baltimore. As a professional he has worked as an interface designer and has designed a number of web sites and interactive CD-ROM's. He has passion for design but is also very interested in creating Claymation and Stop-Motion Films. He loves to browse the web, read news, watch films, and listen to music. As a Professional he is interested in the field of Information Architecture and Human Computer Interaction.

My name is Cierra Williams I was born January 3,1993 in Johns hopkins hospital. My favorite color is pink and green. I attend Bryn Mawr school for girls .I have been there for 6 years . This will be my 7th year.I am in the 6th grade. I am funny and comical but at the same time I am serious when it comes to working. I speak a little spanish and french. If I had to describe myself iwould say I am a cherry because they are sweet but if they are too sweet they are not good. My favorite character is spongebob. I am part powhatan. That means that I am related to pocahontas. Also I love french fries.

Hi. My name is Deep. I am 13. My birthday is 6/25/91. One thing I like to do during my spare tme is play video games. A game that i like in particular is ESPN football 2k5. Also I like to play shooters, especially military games such as SOCOM:U.S Navy SEALS II. Also i play Conflict Desert Storm. Holly Weeks was a graduate student in the Interaction Design and Information Architecture Program (IDIA) at UB. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and has spent a year working for a publishing company as a staff writer and database editor. Holly loves to read, write and travel, and is interested in making interfaces easier for people to use.
