Kathleen Harmeyer (Senior Lecturer; DCD,
University of Baltimore)
Director of the BTPS in Simulation & Digital Entertainment, Professor
Harmeyer is an award winning educator and published learning game
developer. She is a nationally recognized curriculum developer in
computer game design programs. Her assignment includes Web development
and game programming courses in the Information Arts & Technologies
division. She also particpates in the faculty exchange with the SDE
program at The Community College of Baltimore County.

Nancy Kaplan (Professor; Ph.D., Cornell
University)
Director of the School of Information Arts and Technologies. An award-winning
developer of educational software and internationally recognized expert
on digital literacy, Professor Kaplan teaches courses in information
architecture, hypermedia development, and usability methods. She is
the Principal Investigator for a three-year, NSF funded project investigating
the roles young teens should play in the development of technologies
for their age cohort.

Mohammed Ketel (Assistant Professor;
Ph.D., Polytechnic University)
Professor Ketel currently teaches in the areas of networking, operating
system administration and support, and computer security. His research
interests include distributed wireless networks, internet technologies,
and soft computing.

Stuart Moulthrop (Professor; Ph.D., Yale
University)
An internationally known, award-winning digital artist and media theorist,
Professor Moulthrop currently works on the design and application
of interactive software, including video games and simulations. He
teaches courses in multimedia design, media theory, and digital technologies.

Charles L Sykes (Lecturer; Ph.D., DePaul
University)
The locus of Professor Sykes research and life's work is Community
Informatics: investigating, contributing to, and implementing policies,
practices and programs effecting the social appropriation of Information
and Communication Technology and affecting its effective use. He currently
teaches courses in the Applied Information Technology (AIT) program.

Kathryn Summers (Associate Professor; Ph.D., Texas
Christian University)
Widely published in both traditional and new-media rhetoric, Professor
Summers teaches user research, information design, technical communication,
and rhetorical approaches to information systems. Her current projects
include a major new textbook on Web usability.

Luay Wahsheh (Assistant Professor; Ph.D., University of Idaho)
Over the past few years, Dr. Wahsheh has been conducting research in the area of computer security, with an emphasis on the design and implementation of security policies in high assurance computer systems. His additional research interests in information assurance include computer forensics, wireless network security, software security, and database security. He teaches courses in computer security and networks.
