Things To Do Before September 9

1. Buy the books if you haven't already. Do the assigned reading.
   
   
2. Read all the material posted on the class Web site under Week 1. The class site may be accessed at http://raven.ubalt.edu/production.
   
   
3. Start working on Technical Assignment 1 (due Wednesday, September 13 at 5 P.M.).
   
   
4. Look at the list of possible content topics posted on the Web site. List three selections in order of preference, on a piece of paper that also has your name on it. Bring this paper to class on the 9th. If you would like to discuss an alternative topic, organize your group and see me as soon as possible. I will make project assignments before our third meeting.
   
   
5. Test your FTP/Web account at crow.ubalt.edu. Your login is your last name (unless otherwise advised). The passwords were explained in class. Get in touch with me if you are unable to log in, transfer files, or see your content on the Web.
   
   
6. Go to the hypermedia signup page and follow the instructions there to register in the hypermedia database. The database lets us construct class e-mail lists, forecast enrollments, and maintain records for students in the Certificate program.
