Course Description:
An introduction to technologies and concepts that underlie document and information design for the Web. Students become familiar with client/server computing and acquire proficiency in HTML by developing code directly, without the use of simplified editing tools. Historical and critical readings explore the social context of the Web and other hypermedia systems. Projects introduce students to current development and production practices. Lab fee required.
