UB Multimedia Course Materials

If you're curious about multimedia scripting in Flash ActionScript, you might want to look at course materials from my UB class, Interactive Multimedia. The most recent version was taught in Spring, 2003.

With a little hunting you'll find links to versions from 2000, 2001, and 2002 as well. The year is marked in the link list that appears on the left side of the page. In 2000 we used Director (version 7), so you may find some relevant Lingo examples.

Generally proceed with caution; some of the advice I gave in earlier years is either now hopelessly outdated or has been replaced by better ideas.

Many of the examples and demo projects from Interactive Multimedia refer to source files in the MMShare directory. I have copied that directory to the crow.ubalt.edu. I've established an FTP account for this class and will give out the login and password at one of our meetings.
