Project Description

Due February 16, 2007.

This assignment has three parts.

• First, write 1500 words outlining what you think you want to do for your DCD project or research. You should include a brief statement of the problem or concern that prompts you to go in the direction you have chosen, a brief overview of similar work or prior work in this area, and a brief case for why you think the project or research might be important or valuable to some community of practice or set of users.
• Second, send your proposal to all the members of the class by February 16. That way everyone will have time to read everyone else's before class on February 20.
• Third, prepare a 5-8 minute presentation to be delivered in class on February 20.
