Final Project
The spring IDIA 630.185 Information Architecture class has been invited to assist with a redesign of the Center for Plain Language website.
Deliverables:
- User personas and user scenarios (overlaid on site map if possible, following Steve Cleff's example) for the specific assigned audiences
- Navigation design (sitemap with recommended navigational language)
- Information design (wireframes with minimal visual design, tested with sample users)
- Strategic recommendations for content development to support advocacy and fundraising goals; strategic recommendations for leveraging the resources available at plainlanguage.gov
To support these teams, Thom Haller will do the following:
- Make himself available for email questions and end of semester team presentations.
- Provide each team with at least one suggested user for its assigned user group.
Audience members will be interviewed at the beginning of the semester (perhaps for an hour) and participate in testing (perhaps two-three hours total) during the semester. Teams can work by phone, online or go to their location, if necessary.
