Analysis Assignments 1-4
Each analysis assignment is worth 10 points. An assignment begins with selecting a website. Analyze its information architecture from the assigned structure/schema perspective:
- organization, labeling, navigation
- controlled vocabulary, search facility
The purpose of these assignments is to learn through peer demonstration. For each assignment you will prepare a report to be handed in at the end of class and a class presentation.
Access to the Internet will be provided in class for presentations. Each report (5-7 pages) must answer the following questions:
- How are the structures/schemas applied in the website?
- What are the strengths and weaknesses?
- How do they affect the user's ability to access information or use website functionality?
- How can these structures/schemas be improved for this website?
