  • New news items:

    4/24/08:

All of Assignment 3 is due tonight. If you have sent me a link to your work, it is posted on the Assignment 3 class links page, and I have already graded all parts that have been posted. Please post the last elements of animation due tonight, and I will finish your grades tomorrow.

In class tonight, you will briefly present your character projects. Remember that this contributes to the 20% of your grade dedicated to critiques, participation, and presentation, and this goes into that grade.

You should also have an idea ready for your final project tonight. Remember that your final project is due May 15th, so keep your time and responsibilities in mind when defining the scope of your project. You should have your idea in mind by tonight and ask me any question you have. Your official idea writeup is due emailed to my by tomorrow night - Friday the 25th. The details on what your proposal should contain are located on the Assignment 4 Proposal page.

    Old news

    4/10/08:

Grading: I can not find much of your work posted on your websites. I am tired of hunting for it. I will not be grading any old assignments - they are too late to count by now.

On your current assignment: Everyone should send me a link by Friday with a url of your webpage with all of your character assignment assets that have already been due. I will be grading it all this weekend, and if elements are missing, I'm not going back to grade them again.

If you don't know what is due: use the links on the left menu to look at each part of the assignment and the deliverables lists. I am tired of repeating myself regarding them.

I apologize to those of you who have kept your assets organized and posted on-time: you are doing as I asked. Thank you. However, I am also asking you to send me an email by Friday to your site so that I may keep all of the links together when grading this weekend.

If you have specific questions, send me an email. Be specifc about your issue and include your url or example files if applicable. I am not wasting my time answering generic questions because you skipped class and didn't bother to read the assignment pages.

Tonight's class will be an introduction to Zbrush, for the complete beginner.

    2/27/08:

    • Many of you are missing some or all of your assets for the hand assignments, and it is reflecting very poorly on your grades. If I had your email on file (meaning that you sent me your project link like you were supposed to do 4 weeks ago) and I was missing something, I have very likely sent you an email. If you are missing project items but I do not have your email address, then I have no way of contacting you and you must send me your assets if you want a grade for the first two assignments.
    • Spot has been filled. A note taker is needed for this class. This position involves a stipend ($$) in exchange for you making copies of your notes from this class. These are just a set of your regular notes, not writing down every word. If you are interested in being a note taker, please see me after class.

2/13/07: Thank you to everyone who has sent me their links already. If you haven't sent me a link, send me your assignment link now!

    * Remember: If you have not sent me a link to your assignments, I can not grade your work *

I highly recommend sending me a link to one simple web page, and then linking to your assignments from that page. (Several of you have done that already. Excellent idea, there) This means that you only have to send me a link once, and then I can get to your asignment easily thereafter.
