Advice About Walkthroughs
As indicated in the I.F. assignment, you need to produce a transcript or walkthrough for your game. The walkthrough should record a successful solution; that is, it should end with a win (and thus represents a spoiler for your game).
The easiest way to generate a walkthrough is to play a successful game session, then select View > Scrollback from the menu bar at the top of the window. This opens a window showing the entirety of the current session, with a scollbar at right. Select all the text in the window and copy it to the clipboard. Then open Word or another text editing program and paste in the transcript.
You may want to add running commentary to your transcript. Set up a visual convention for this. I sandwich comments between two rows of asterisks, setting the commentary in italics.
Your comments should point out technical achievements and tricks of game design of which you are particularly proud. If it's necessary to detour from the straightest path to the winning solution in order to see key points in your game, feel free to do so.
I've posted a sample walkthrough for a demonstration game in the COSC320 folder of the common account on student-iat. Look in the walkthrough folder. For the game itself, look in the PlayerNotPlayer folder.
