Tickertype Project
This simple project combines Javascript, DOM manipulation, and XML data retrieval to display randomly chosen, nonsensical phrases in an animated text crawl, as in a cable news program, or an ancient tickertape machine. On bad drugs.
View document source to see the script. Note that the XML loader code has been functionalized and moved to an external Javascript file. Speed controls (links below ticker) pass values to a function in the main script that resets the delay factor.
