Assignments

All assignments are due the week after assignment is made unless explicitly specified on this page.

Readings (Penton):

Each assignment includes reading the chapter for the weekly discussion and summarizing the key points made by the author.

Original Game:

In 2-person teams of the instructor's selection, design and develop a small game in XNA. Teams will be determined at or before midterm. Lab time will be allocated for team work.

Using good interactive design methods, accept input from XBOX controller and provide appropriate output for playing a game on the PCs in the SDE classroom lab. Grades will be determined by playability and fun as well as creativity and originality of the game.

Game design is due Week 12*.
Final game presentation is Week 14*.
Revisions, if required, will be accepted up through Week 15.

Grades for all weekly assignments will diminish one letter grade for each day they are late. Investigate the assignments immediately after each class and determine what questions you must ask the instructor.
