Objective
Develop a bridge that will enable application developers to the abilities of the ESRI GIS platform and the Lotus Notes/Domino e-mail and workflow platform to create a unified solution that will be able to address workflow processes with a geographical component such as managing a park reservation system, routing repair crews, collecting client information and calculating insurance premiums

The Java and Avenue programming languages and a set of RPC code libraries were used to create extension modules that enabled applications developed on the Lotus Notes/Domino platform to harness the GIS capabilities of the ArcView and ArcInfo platforms for a seamless integrated solution
