Hi There. You have reached the web site of Yoram Chisik, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Design at Kadir Has University, Istanbul, Turkey.

My broad interests lie in the exploration of interactions and experiences, both the interactions that occur between people and technologies and the interactions that occur between people through technologies.

My current research explores the notion of sociable literacy among young readers born into the digital age through Alph a web based reading environment in which readers can interact with one another through the placement of emotive annotations anywhere on the surface of a page.

Previously I have been a Research Fellow in the School of Information Arts and Technologies at the University of Baltimore which still kindly hosts my web site, and a Geographical Information Systems (GIS) consultant developing applications such and advising government agencies and corporations in the US and abroad on the use and implementation of GIS technology.
