Bachelor of Science in Applied Information Technology
Program Requirements:
The degree requires a total of 120 credits distributed as follows:
- 59 lower-division credits including all lower-division General Education requirements
- 9 credits of upper-division General Education courses at UB
- 12 credits of electives at UB
- 40 credits of core courses in Applied Information Technology
A minimum of 120 credit hours are required for completing the bachelor's degree, along with all lower-division General Education requirements specified by the State of Maryland. Many programs leading to the Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) leave some requirements unsatisfied. Applicants should ascertain which type of Associate's degree they hold and consult with the Program Director.
Students who have not taken first-level courses in Web Design or Visual Basic programming may be required to take lower-division courses in these subjects at U.B. These courses will count as electives and in most cases will not increase the number of credits required for the degree.
