Enrollment Requirements
Beginning Fall, 2002 all students not on leave of absence are required to take a minimum number of credits during the academic year. The minimum load is 9 credits per year.
The academic year consists of four terms: Fall, Winterim, Spring, and Summer. Students may earn the required credits in any or all these terms.
If a student defers entry into the DCD program until spring or summer, the minimum load requirement does not apply until the next full academic year.
Beginning Fall, 2008, once a student has completed the coursework for the DCD, but has not yet completed the doctoral project, the student must enroll each semester in one credit of IDIA 898, Continuous Enrollment, in order to maintain access to library facilities, computer accounts, and meet with advisors.
Students who are enrolled in either IDIA 899, DCD Project, or IDIA 898, Continuous Enrollment, are required to send a weekly email documenting their current progress and status to their project advisor and to the graduate program director.
